Enter “dinnertime”, founded by three female expats in Dubai. For a fee of 380AED per week, dinnertime delivers four recipes and a box of food with enough for four meals to you in Dubai.
The service is perfect for busy working professionals. After a long day making decisions, the very last thing most people want to do on the way home is a) go to a Supermarket or b) use an already exhausted brain to think and then make yet another decision about what to eat.
Dinnertime requires that the basics are in your cupboard, vinegar, oil, rice etc, but that aside Dinnertime does all the thinking for you. Each week the menu’s are different and if you are cooking for two, there is enough leftover for two people for lunch the next day, meaning spending extortionate amounts on sandwiches at lunchtime are a thing of the past.
As Fashionista’s our interest is in the carb factor, so I’ll address it. There are more carbs with dinnertime cooking than I would buy if left to my own devices. However, if you ditch the bread and eat the dinners without the rice, overall there is enough variety in dinnertime recipes for everything to cancel out. Plus having everything ready when you get home, means you aren’t tempted to reach for the take out menu, or go out to eat so overall your waistline and your wallet will thank you.
