Hellwafash file: i'm nude

Well I’m not nude but if I was I’d be right on trend. Nude/skin colour/beige/non colour/neutral call it what you will we’ll all have to channel it in one way or another this season. It’s a hard colour to wear so I happily ignored it right up until I saw Demi Moore at the Oscars. If a Puma can look that good in neutral then there’s no excuse for hellwafashionista’s.
• If you decide to tackle the trend full on and wear a dress, leave your hair long, loose and draped over your shoulders. Think Jennifer Aniston in Donna Karen, Julianne More in Calvin Klein, Zoe Saldana in Valentino, Sandra Bullock at the Oscars and of course Demi. (check out celebs & socialista’s for examples)
• Shorts: Shorts are big this season. Nude shorts have the added advantage of making your legs appear longer and allowing you to wear a different more flattering colour close to your face. Go easy on the aul fake tan though, a two tone effect is not what we’re trying to achieve (See picture of Dubai based designer Ayesha Depala in celeb’s & socialista’s for a good example of how to do it right)
• The power of shoes: Shoes are still occupying a large part of my brain (and will be until March 31st) they are most definitely the easiest way to wear this trend. Again the nude colour will lengthen legs, and nude shoes will go with pretty much everything. If budget is an issue you cannot go wrong with nude pumps. You’ll be on trend without taking risks. If risky business is your thing then please buy the fendi shoes in the picture and enjoy how fabulous you’re gonna look in them.
Get dressed in Nude.
Shoes left are available, from net-a-porter.com here: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/60701
www.asos.com also do some good nude shoes as do Nine West & Kurt Geiger , in Dubai Mall.
