What's in... Editor's Blog

Hi, my name is Bébhinn Kelly, I’m the editor of hellwafashion.com. Being a fashion editor in Dubai is an interesting experience. There are highs, lows, hilarity and heaps and heaps and heaps of fashion attitude.

Some days the uber-fashion attitude makes me feel like screaming "we are a long way from Bryant Park" but most days I join right in, play along for the cameras and enjoy it for what it is. On the off days, my constant source of amusement is my inbox, some of the content of which I hope to post here. I can safely say I have never before in my life received such weird, wonderful and whacky e-mails.

Oh yes and in-case you didn't get the memo, I'm a (hate the word feminist) girl power kinda gal, and I plan on using this space to illustrate that point. Enjoy... and please go easy on the comments, I’m sure many people would be highly amused to see me locked up, but jail is no place for my Louboutins.

Tucked away in a little corner of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Le Petite Maison is a lively dining venue loved by Dubai's financial crowd and the ladies who lunch.

We got there just before the first dinner sitting, half an hour later the place was buzzing with local Emiratis and the after-work crowd.

The Vintage Entree

As we were there thanks to Evian and the "snap & dine" app, we snapped away at the delicious food. This vegetable and feta cheese starter was divine.

I was so hungry that I "dined" & then snapped.... all that was left to snap was the remains of the main course of giant prawns. Yum!

Let it be said that the desserts at Le Petite Maison are huge!!! Definitely get one to share. I managed a few spoonfuls of melt in the mouth Creme Brulee, before giving up!

All in all, Le Petite Maison is very different to most restaurants in Dubai, it's buzzing and not easy to get a table. Thanks to Evian "snap & dine" for an exceptional dining experience.
