What's in... Editor's Blog

Hi, my name is Bébhinn Kelly, I’m the editor of hellwafashion.com. Being a fashion editor in Dubai is an interesting experience. There are highs, lows, hilarity and heaps and heaps and heaps of fashion attitude.

Some days the uber-fashion attitude makes me feel like screaming "we are a long way from Bryant Park" but most days I join right in, play along for the cameras and enjoy it for what it is. On the off days, my constant source of amusement is my inbox, some of the content of which I hope to post here. I can safely say I have never before in my life received such weird, wonderful and whacky e-mails.

Oh yes and in-case you didn't get the memo, I'm a (hate the word feminist) girl power kinda gal, and I plan on using this space to illustrate that point. Enjoy... and please go easy on the comments, I’m sure many people would be highly amused to see me locked up, but jail is no place for my Louboutins.

HP Winter Summit.

As we mentioned on the homepage, although I attended the HP winter summit last year, I was too busy to do so this year, so

our good friends over at triplew.me headed off to Saas Fee in Switzerland to attend the HP Winter Summit

instead to learn all about the new HP products on offer this year. We have published our favourite photos

from the event. When our colleague Paul arrived it was dark and snowing, this picture has a

postcard (remember them?!) feel about it.

Mmmm, quite funny that our male colleague wore a pink name tag saying hellwafashion, and that hellwafashion is from Rome ;)

QR codes, who really uses them? who knows?, but I'm noticing that a lot of brands who want to move online want to use them, for what I don't know. They are awkward to use but look great on a wall or incidentally as wrapping paper.

What's Saas Fees most fun fact? The video for Last Christmas by Wham! was filmed there ( look out for Saas Fee written on the back of the cable car) Go on - have a listen you know you love the song!!

We were told that one of the most amazing pieces of equipment on the trip was the HP photocopier which creates 3D imaging. The apple printed out on the page is the same as the apple sitting on the photocopier. So you pop the apple on the photocopier and it copies the object, complete with texture and everything! Photocopying an apple - whatever next?!
