What's in... Vintage Collection

Jason Wu’s S/S10 collection wowed but gotta say I thought it had a  “Balmainesque” type feel to it. Next season it seems that no matter who we wear we’ll be channeling Christophe Decarnin type short dresses.

So this season us hellwafashionista’s are celebrating, what we’re calling  the “mini-train” no not the metro people the Balmain dress which is a mini at the front and long at the back. Oddly it doesn’t seem to have taken off in a big way, (aside from a shocking Bebe rip off) which is good and partly why we like it.

Why else do we like it?, well it’s way less daunting (and much more forgiving) than wearing a micro mini dress.
How do I wear it?:
•    The runway look with the boots is a tough look to pull off, Louboutin ‘s lace shoots would be good with the trend, or a pair of black peep toe sandals.
•    Jewellery is key: think small watch, big sparkly black bracelet and sparkly earrings.
•    Simple hair.

Think you’ll never dare to wear ? While prancing around your bedroom to “dirty Diana” in the 80’s you didn’t think that top of your 2009 wishlist would be a Micheal Jackson style balmain jacket, did you? No you didn’t, so trust me when I say: try it.
