In the rest of the world the September issue’s have hit the stands, unfortunately fashionista’s in this region actually have to wait until September to get their hands on the magazine trend reports. We know you want to know what’s hot now & we know you loved our A/W complete guide to make-up so we thought it was high time we did a guide on what to wear with your make-up.

What do I have in my wardrobe that will work this season?

Velvet: If you bought Velvet two seasons ago, you made a good investment, hold onto it as velvet is still big. If you haven’t already bought velvet then buy a dress or a pair of velvet pants, you can wear them in the evening, the all important a/c will keep you cool.

Shorts: I love shorts, especially in Winter when you can wear them with tights. Ditch the image of you have of shorts and a t-shirt, shorts are sophisticated & worn with jackets.

Camel: Camel coats are going to be huge this season ( a trend most of us in this region will miss out on) but we can wear the colour in any way. I swear by the leg lengthening effects of camel coloured shoes so I’ll be wearing mine right through this season.

Thigh high boots: You’ll be glad to know you can these babies out of your wardrobe & start wearing them when the weather cools down a bit. Burberry Prorsum sent them down the runway with shorts, a hard look to pull off but one that when it does works is great.

Leopard print: Leopard print has been lurking in the background for the last couple of years, animal print in general is big for AW, but anything you have in Leopard print will do just fine.

Lace/ underwear as outerwear: If you invested in lace as part of the “outwear is underwear” trend & were brave enough to try it in this region, try it again.
